15th National
Small Farm Trade Show & Conference™
November 1-3, 2007
Boone County Fairgrounds, Columbia, Missouri
(heated exhibition hall)
The largest annual small farm show in the United States!
Last year, over 4,400 people and over 150 exhibitors attended. We want our this year’s show to be the largest yet, so come to the show and bring
a friend (or two or three).
This year, we will have 60+ talks, 150+ exhibitors, a poultry exhibition, and demos.
The stock dog clinic will be held on Wednesday, October 31.
See the Schedule for a listing of all the short courses, seminars, farmers forum talks, and more going on at the show.
Some of our 2007 speakers:
Jim Gerrish (Idaho), nationally known independent grazing consutant. He will
conduct two short courses: “Year-Round Grazing for Cattle, Sheep, and Goats”
and a seminar: “Fattening Cattle, Sheep, and Goats on Grass”.
Kelly Klober (Missouri), nationally known writer and columnist for Small
Farm Today, and Matt Johns (Kentucky), owner of Poultryman Supply Company
and Shady Lane Poultry Farm Inc., will give a joint short course, “Poultry
101 for the Small Farm”, which will include a couple of 4-bird judging
classes to help producers with hen selection. The role of purebred and heirloom
breeds in today’s market will be discussed, as well as handling, breeding
stock, and growing out birds on range. Kelly will also give a seminar on pastured
hogs and a Farmers Forum talk on farmers’ markets.
Rob Meyers (Missouri), from the Thomas Jefferson Institute returns to talk
about alternative field crops for your farm.
Greg Judy (Missouri) will speak on “Fallow Ground to Pasture Heaven
with Mob Density Grazing”.

Marketing of Pastured Chickens, Turkeys, Pork, Beef, and Lamb”.
